Invest in the Life You Want to Live
It’s true what they say: health is wealth. But what are the things worth chasing in life if our health is failing? How can we fully show up for the people we love if our energy is low? Poor health shrinks our ability to contribute to something bigger than ourselves. Everyone has the same 24 hours—but not everyone has the same usable energy. Your quality of life matters more than you may realize.
To put this into perspective: the average lifespan in the United States is 79 years, but the average health span is only 64 years. That means many people spend the last 15 years of their lives dealing with one or more chronic health issues. What’s the point of living longer if you can’t enjoy the life you’ve built? That’s why it shouldn’t be about adding years to your life, it’s about adding life to your years.
Hundreds of studies show that most chronic diseases begins 10–30 years before a diagnosis. If healthcare spending is highest after 65—but chronic disease starts decades earlier, why wouldn’t you invest in your health now, so you can enjoy your best life enriched with energy and vitality, avoiding the consequences later?
After reading this, ask yourself: if my health was my top priority what would I be willing to invest each month to improve it?
